  Another Home Run from the Ricewood creator. Now they've got the best brisket AND the best fried chicken in Michigan. Roadhouse doesn't hold a candle to this chicken. Best I've ever had. Cute place and a super value. Cole Slaw, Beans, Potato Salad, all from scratch as fresh and delicious as can be. And the biscuit donuts................can't get anything like it anywhere else.

  Amazing chicken and great prices! We went during a power outage in the area so it was quite busy with people looking for a warm meal. The restart has a good amount of seating, parking was no trouble at all and our food came out hot and delicious. The chicken had nice, crispy, flavorful skin and was so juicy. I also find myself dreaming of the biscuit doughnuts.

  First visit review --Just WOW, KFC & Churches better watch out. 5 star rating.
  Second visit review -- But today 3.23.17 the chicken was blend, hardly no seasoning and wasn't as good as last week. Myself and two others order and all of our meal was a disappointment. I will give it one more try. So, they went from a 5 star to 2 star (good cashier).

  Overall it was fine. Some things of note: when we went in and ordered, there was about a 20 minute wait for our food. Might have been obvious, but I didn't expect that. Also, portions are large, so I'd argue that people can share the 3 piece order. The side orders are large too. The chicken was crispy and the skin was flavorful. The chicken itself was juicy, but didn't have a ton of flavor. We tried the biscuit donuts and didn't love them. Overall, I'd give Ma Lou's a good, but not great.
